7. Angel Food Cake Made In An Instant Pot
Nowadays, you will find just about everything that can be made in your Instant Pot, including angel food cake! So if you want a fast and delicious dessert you can make in your Instant Pot, then this will work perfectly!
Keep in mind that the WW points are based only on the angel food cake; if you want to add the optional glaze, it will add one more point to the total. Not bad for a super yummy angel food cake dessert!
What you will need:
- Half a box of an angel food cake mix, like Betty Crocker (approx 1.5 cups).
- 2 cups of water
Step 1 - Place the angel food cake mix into a large mixing bowl.
Step 2 - Pour in ½ cup + ¼ cup water into the angel food cake mix and whisk it together until it appears to be fluffy.
Step 3 - Take your 4.5” angel food cake pan and pour the batter into it carefully (use a spoon if necessary).
Step 4 - Cover loosely with foil.
Step 5 - Pour 1.5 cups of the water into the bottom of your Instant Pot. Place the metal trivet into your Instant Pot. (Normally, the trivet comes with your Instant Pot.)
Step 6 - Place your angel food cake pan onto the trivet and then close the Instant Pot.
Step 7 - Close the steam valve on your Instant Pot.
Step 8 - Go ahead and turn your Instant Pot on and set it to manual high pressure for approximately 10 minutes.
Step 9 - When the timer goes off, remove the Instant Pot lid and get your pan out. Be careful because the pan will be extremely hot.
Step 10 - You can now remove the foil and allow the cake to cool completely. Once finished cooling, go ahead and push the bottom of the pan up so you can release the angel food cake.
Step 11 - You might need to use a spatula to help loosen and release the cake from the bottom of the pan.
Step 12 - Move the angel food cake to a serving platter or however you want to serve it.
Step 13 - Enjoy as is or make the optional glaze that is listed below to drizzle over the top of your angel food cake.

¾ cup Powdered Sugar

Step 1 - Place all three ingredients in a small bowl and blend together until the mixture is creamy.

Tip: You can easily add some lemon extract if you want a refreshing tang to your glaze or simply add a little vanilla to give it a bit more flavor.
Note: Each cake is considered to be one serving. You should make both at the same time by stacking the pans or make sure you cook one right after the other. The batter will lose its texture rather quickly, so don’t save the batter or wait too long to make the second cake.
